Abstract
The hyperfine coupling constants obtained from the microwave spectrum of chlorine dioxide are discussed in terms of the electronic structure of chlorine dioxide. It is found that these constants can be reasonably interpreted in terms of a simple molecular orbital model of chlorine dioxide in which the odd electron is in a b 1 antibonding orbital. Keywords
