Abstract
Using well-known concepts from semiclassical dynamics, we simulate spectra of a hydrogen Rydberg electron under the influence of parallel electric and magnetic fields. The spectra show peaks characteristic of recurring orbits as well as periodic orbits, which we have identified. The results agree qualitatively with experiments. Keywords
