Abstract
The authors describe their personal experience with middle cerebral artery embolectomy performed in four patients within 6 hours after the start of clinical symptoms. The work is of a preliminary nature. No conclusion can be drawn as to the ultimate value of this treatment, and further clinical trials seem justified. Keywords
