Abstract
A method for total K analyses is described which, in addition to simplicity and speed, eliminates the necessity of more arduous ashing or homogenizing technics. Tissues were taken from rats, placed separately in 100 or 200 cc. of distilled water and boiled under reflux condensers for 10 min. Solns. were stoppered and stored at 3[degree]C for 36 hrs. Aliquots of the supernatant were analyzed for K by flame photometer. The results were statistically the same as results obtained by ashing technic. Keywords
