Accurate Range Gating Technique With Mode-Locked Dye Lasers

Abstract
The use of subpicosecond passively mode locked dye lasers, combined with nonlinear detection is shown to open the field of "range gating" to microscopic dimensions. We present a one dimensional application of this technique to the evaluation of fiber connectors.© (1982) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
