Abstract
Thirty benzothiazole derivs. had an inhibitory action against the tuberculosis organism, both in vitro and in vivo. In vitro dilutions of 1:10,000 to 1:40,000,000 were sufficient to produce inhibition to the extent of 50% less growth as compared to controls. In vivo protection of guinea pigs against human tuberculosis organisms was shown for 8 of the derivs. Toxicity was low. Keywords
