Abstract
Detailed cultural characteristics of 18 strains of zooglea-forming bacteria isolated from activated sludge and from the growths on trickling filters are given. In addition the purification efficiency of pure culture sludges developed by these bacteria is reported as well as the nutrient requirements, the effect of various organic substances found in sewage and of the pH on the development of such pure culture sludges. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
