Abstract
An analysis of the performance of multiple variable sources of reactive power on distribution system primary feeders is presented. Necessary conditions for optimally siting, sizing and operating an arbitrary number of such devices are developed. Performance is compared to that of comparable fixed capacitor bank installations. Keywords
