Abstract
Broom snakeweed [Xanthocephalum sarothrae] was effectively controlled for at least 3 yr with 0.6 kg a.i.[active ingredient]/ha (80% wettable powder) tebuthiuron on the Southern High Plains [Texas, USA]. Total herbage production decreased following broom snakeweed control, but grass yield generally increased when the snakeweed was removed. Broom snakeweed control was not affected by application time during the year. Grass production was significantly reduced for 3 growing seasons by application of tebuthiuron in May. Grass yield was not affected by applications in either Nov. or Jan.This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
