Abstract
An instrument for recording B-H loops of evaporated magnetic films is described. A Hall effect probe is used to measure the normal component of magnetic field at the film surface along an edge of the film. The instrument is arranged also to record a map of the normal field over the area of the film in isometric projection form. The field maps indicate the uniformity of the domain structure when the film is in a partially switched state. Keywords
