Abstract
The superfluid phase transition in a neutral Fermi gas with short-ranged interaction in a parabolic trap is investigated. We consider the case when the critical temperature in the homogeneous case is much larger than the level spacing in a trap. It is shown that in this situation the critical temperature in a trap is only slightly lower as compared with the homogeneous case. We write down the corresponding Ginzburg-Landau equation and analyze its solution in the vicinity of the phase transition.
