NEUTRON SEPARATION ENERGIES FOR ZIRCONIUM AND THE Zr⁹⁶–Nb⁹⁶ AND Nb⁹⁴–Zr⁹¹ DECAY ENERGIES

Abstract

Values are reported for the Zr⁹²–Zr⁹⁰, Zr⁹⁴–Zr⁹², and Zr⁹⁶–Zr⁹⁴ mass differences. These are combined with existing data to compute neutron separation energies for Zr⁹⁴ and Zr⁹⁶, and the energies available for the Zr⁹⁶–Nb⁹⁶ and Nb⁹⁴–Zr⁹⁴ decays. It is pointed out that marked regularities exist amongst the neutron separation energies for zirconium and tin.
