A Dynamic Approach to the Thermodynamics of Superdiffusion

Abstract

We establish a connection between the Tsallis entropic index q and the Levy index alpha, adopting dynamical rather than only probabilistic arguments. The dynamic picture discussed is that of deterministic maps, originally introduced to study intermittency and currently adopted for a deterministic approach to superdiffusion.
