Abstract
Dromaeosaurids were small- to medium-sized bipedal carnivores with long, three-fingered forelimbs that ended in sharp, trenchant claws. The largest known dromaeosaurids are Achillobator giganticus and the fragmentary Utahraptor ostrommaysi, with tibial lengths of 490 mm and 505 mm, respectively. Dromaeosaurids range from the Early to Late Cretaceous to the Late Cretaceous and are known from Asia and North America. They occupied a great diversity of habitats, from floodplain swamps (Deinonychus, Dromaeosaurus, and Saurornitholestes) to arid sandy habitats (Velociraptor). Keywords
