Abstract
Fano-Macek parameters of the 2p state of H are calculated for electron impact energies from 30 to 300 eV using the 1s-2s-2p close-coupling approximation. In general the agreement between theory and experiment is not good. The normalised electron-photon coincidence rate is also calculated for 100 eV electrons scattered through 10 degrees . Finally, the scattering amplitudes for this transition are tabulated for scattering angles from 0 to 180 degrees over this energy range, enabling future spin-polarised experiments to be analysed. Keywords
