Abstract
Excitation functions of the reactions , , , , , and have been measured for energies from 6 to 24 MeV by the stackedfoil technique. The cross section for production of reaches a maximum of 340 mb at 8.9 MeV, with smaller maxima at 10.6 and 15.5 MeV. The cross section for reaches a broad maximum of 140 mb in the vicinity of 14 MeV, with evidence of a secondary maximum at 10.9 MeV. The cross section for , measured with somewhat poorer resolution, reaches a broad maximum of about 100 mb in the vicinity of 17.5 MeV. The cross section for production of by 24-MeV bombardment of aluminum is about 0.1 mb.
