Association of creatine phosphokinase with the cytoskeleton of cultured mammalian cells.

Abstract
Using an antibody specific for creatine phosphokinase (CPK), an association between that enzyme and the cytoskeleton was discovered. Immunofluorescence observations show that CPK is associated with intermediate filaments in [kangaroo rat] PTK cells and [mouse] BALB/3T3 cells. The CPK distribution also follows intermediate filaments when cells are treated with colchicine.
