Abstract
In the past two decades, an immense amount of information has been generated on the mechanism of T cell receptor (TCR) signaling (also called signal 1). This overview describes the major signalling pathways in the TCR signal transduction cascade and focuses on proximal events in TCR signaling. The review also discusses some of the strategies that target proximal TCR signaling, which are used for preventing graft rejection. Keywords
