High Incidence of Myelomatosis in North-East Scotland

Abstract
One hundred and fifty-three patients with myelomatosis were diagnosed in the decade 1960–69 in the North Eastern Region of Scotland (excluding Kincardine County). This incidence is higher than the incidence in Scotland as a whole. It is also higher than expected from mortality figures for the region, for Scotland and for England. The possible reason for this latter finding is discussed.
