Spektralanalyse des «Miauens» bei Cri-du-Chat-Syndrom

Abstract
A new case of "Cri-du-Chat-Syndrome" with partial deletion of the short arm of 1 of the 5th pair of chromosomes (group B) is described. Blood group findings and determination of erythrocyte enzymes showed no evidence that these factors might be controlled by genes on the deleted portion of the relevant chromosome. Sound spectrograms of cri du chat showed a high fundamental tone (as compared with healthy infants) and pronounced formants at 4000 cps.
