Abstract
During an 18-year period, we have treated a total of 50 patients with extrahepatic biliary atresia. Of these, 24 were potentially operable. However, difficulty has been experienced in achieving satisfactory drainage of bile without the complication of cholangitis, especially when blind portoenterostomy has been employed. Keywords
