Abstract
The authors report their own experience with 125 lymphangiographies in children, of which 117 were technically successful. They attempt to describe the normal appearances, on the basis of 45 cases. In the lymphomas, the picture of lymphoid involvement is often less characteristic than in the adult; 19 out of 41 were pathologic in Hodgkin's disease and 10 out of 33 in the lymphosarcoma and reticulum cell sarcoma. In the retroperitoneal neuroblastomas studied (22 cases) all showed pronounced lymph node involvement. In the other tumors studied it was mainly the gonadal tumors which showed lymph node metastases. In all cases, periodic radiographic examinations can bring useful supplementary information. Keywords
