Abstract
A new procedure, based on an external reference technique which largely accommodates screening effects of the media is proposed for the investigation of molecular interactions in two-component solution. Equilibrium quotients and aromatic-induced shift values obtained by this method for the interactions between benzene and, separately, chloroform, ethylene chloride, methyl iodide, and 1,1-dichloroethylene are compatible with results reported previously. It is shown that cyclohexane is inert to benzene whereas tetramethylsilane interacts strongly. Keywords
