Abstract
A patient with rheumatic heart disease (aortic insufficiency) and acromegaly came to post mortem examination and presented a huge heart weighing 1,340 g. In most instances of extreme cardiac enlargement, a combination of etiologic factors exist as exemplified by the presently reported case with rheumatic valvulitis and acromegaly. There is also an overwhelming predilection to the male sex. Keywords
