Abstract
The dynamic scattering characteristic of a room‐temperature nematic liquid crystal is described. This electro‐optic effect has been observed in many high‐temperature nematic liquid crystals. The material described here has a mesomorphic phase from 11 to 41 °C. A contrast ratio of 30 to 1 is observed with a field of 3.7×104V/cm.Keywords
