Abstract
Electrophoretic fractions of the dialyzed residue of ragweed pollen were examined by passive transfer tests, using sera from non-treated allergic individuals. Of the methods of preparation used for the dialyzed residue, the mildest procedure appeared to give the most active fractions. A single fraction, composed mainly of high molecular proteins was about 100 times more active than the whole aqueous pollen extract. It appeared that this fraction contained all the major skin-active components of the pollen. Keywords
