Abstract
Comparison of the Japanese-American Cooperative Emulsion Experiment, Si-AgBr collision with Monte Carlo simulation of the interaction indicates an excess of particles with pseudorapidities n>3. Such an excess is consistent with the assumption of the formation of a phase-transition fireball in the projectile Si nucleus. Keywords
