Low-Temperature Anomalies in Photoconductivity of Indium Doped Lead-Tin-Telluride

Abstract
Pb1-x Sn x Te (LTT) doped with indium is found to have some unusual photoconductive and transport properties at low temperatures: These include such effects as persistent photoconductivity, negative photoconductivity, and an anomalous temperature dependence of the Hall effect. A single model involving electronic transitions between various charge states of indium, with negative correlation and large lattice relaxation, is used as a basis for discussion of these various anomalies.
