Abstract
The three-nucleon system with two protons is investigated by the Faddeev equation with the Coulomb force. Two kinds of one-dimensional Fredholm-type integral equations are obtained by reduction of the Faddeev equation. One of the solutions represents a Coulomb distorted three-body amplitude, and the other represents a pure nuclear one. In this paper, these formalisms are applied to the reaction D(p, n)2p at 45.5 MeV, using the effective range approximation for the two-body amplitudes. We obtained a good agreement with experiment.
