Abstract
Subpopulations of human peripheral blood T [thymus-derived] lymphocytes were examined in 23 myasthenic patients. T lymphocytes bearing receptors for the Fc portion of Ig[immunoglobulin]G (T.gamma.) were significantly increased in 1/3 of the patients examined. T lymphocytes bearing receptors for the Fc portion of IgM (T.mu.) were within normal values in all but 2 patients. Possible implications of these cells in the pathogenesis of myasthenia gravis are discussed. This publication has 34 references indexed in Scilit:
