Abstract
From the data on K α satellite lines, the values of the corresponding screening constants have been calculated. It is shown that for transitions with the same final and initial electronic configuration but different levels the values of the screening constants are widely different. Some values are negative. It is proposed that a triply ionised X-Ray state can be responsible for one of the negative values of the screening. Keywords
