Abstract
The synthesis of dunnione (II) from 2‐hydroxynaphtha‐1,4‐quinone has been improved and used to prepare three deuteriated analogues. The mass spectra of these compounds and of the products of their reductive acetylation and deuterioacetylation have been measured and used to interpret the mass spectrum of atrovenetin. Keywords
