Abstract
To the Editor: I enjoyed the presentation and discussion of Case 38–1978 by Dr. D. R. Robinson1; however, I disagree with his final diagnosis of "hypertrophic pulmonary osteoarthropathy, secondary." Although the patient certainly did have adenocarcinoma of the lung and hypertrophic pulmonary osteoarthropathy, he also had "deep skin creases" and it was observed that "the skin was thickened, the brow and chin prominent, and the nose bulbous. The tongue, hands, finger, feet, and toes were enlarged."
