Abstract
The angular distribution and total cross-section for pion-12C scattering are analyzed in the energy region from 120 MeV to 1200 MeV. Phase shifts for pion-nucleon scattering are used in the Glauber type of analysis for high energy scattering. A nuclear form factor in a Gaussian form for 12C, which gives an appropriate mean square of nuclear orbital radius ≪r2>, is shown to reproduce the experimental data very well.
