Abstract
The induced-emission cross section of the copper laser lines (5106 Å) and (5782 Å) have been measured for He and Ne as buffer gases at different pressures by using an amplification-gain technique. The line broadenings are deduced from the experimental data and compared to the values predicted by a pressure-broadening impact theory.
