Abstract
The effects of viral induced fever and environmental hyperthermia on embryonic development in pregnant rabbits are described. Embryonic development was not disturbed following fever, but there were anomalies in development following hyperthermia. Possible explanations for the different effects of hyperthermia and fever are discussed. Keywords
