The literature on basal-cell epithelioma of the sole is reviewed. A unique case of the fibroepithelial tumor variety of basal-cell epithelioma of the sole is described clinically and histologically. The possible paths of pathogenesis of the tumor and its relations to other epidermaladnexal neoplasms are discussed.
