Abstract
Phosphors of the ZnS-CdS type under an applied ac field exhibit capacity changes when illuminated. The measurements indicate that in some phosphors the change in capacity may not be attributed solely to a change in ohmic resistance. A possible explanation for the mechanism involved in these cases is given. Capacity decay data and photoconductivity decay at room temperature and liquid nitrogen temperature are discussed. Voltage-dependence data at various frequencies are also included. Keywords
