Abstract
The various tissues, organs and blood of [female] animals were extracted with alcohol and the extract purified according to the Allen-Doisy method to obtain the follicular hormone. It occurs in liver, pancreas, cotyledons, kidney, uterus, and circulating blood. It is absent from anterior and posterior pituitary, thyroid, spleen, parathyroid and thymus glands. These oily preparations are made water soluble by a mild alkaline hydrolysis. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
