Abstract
Numerical methods are used to study the behavior of the energy levels of a nucleus, having nonzero quadrupole moment and spin I = 1 or , under the influence of a constant uniform external magnetic field and an electric crystalline field of axial symmetry. These numerical results are of use when experimental conditions are such that perturbation theory cannot be applied in data analysis.
