Abstract
Plumbagin, a naphtoquinone compound was isolated from Plumbago capensis (Plumbaginaceae), an East African medicinal plant. This compound exhibited relatively specific antimicrobial activity against yeasts and potent insect antifeedant activity against the larvae of African army worms.Keywords
