Abstract
Intestinal paralysis in the newborn without any demonstrable anatomic ab normality of the gastro-intestinal tract 1-3 is a disorder which closely resembles symptomatic aganglionosis, but the pres ence of normal ganglion cells and its association with low birth weight dis tinguishes one from the other. No satis factory explanation for the syndrome is available. This paper describes such a case. Keywords
