Abstract
This article presents the main threads to the Land for Housing debate. It gathers together the various elements which together make up the housebuilders argument, paying particular attention to the impact of restraint policies on land and house prices. It also explains why housebuilders have campaigned for an increased land supply, linking the land for housing issue to a number of accounts which have tried to explain the operations of individual housebuilders. Keywords
