Abstract
Natural growth featurea observed on crystah of lead nitrate when growing from aqueoue solution are described in detail. The modes of formation and behaviour of growth layers are dimueeed. A special featureis the frequent occurrence of stacking fault hea over which the growth layers m o t paas. These often appear at centrea of growth. The effect of methylene blue aa impurity in solution reetriCte the growth on the cube fecee in a direction parallel to a diagonal in the feoe. This results in the formation of small striations or tilt facea. Keywords
