Abstract
The common problem of multipath reception manifests itself as "ghosts" in the resultant picture. Attempts to eliminate ghosts have included approaches involving special antennas, RF phase-delaying devices, or transversal equalizers that operate on the detected video waveform. This paper discusses experimental results that help to characterize the relative performance that can be obtained with transversal filters using various training waveforms and two popular adaptive control algorithms. Keywords
