Abstract
Beta-aminopropionitrile hydrochloride was toxic to turkey poults at levels as low as 0.01% of the diet. Paralysis, degeneration of anterior motor neurons and growth depression were the chief abnormalities observed at 0.25% and 0.125% while pericardial and pulmonary hemorrhages, ruptured aortas, leg and toe deformities and growth depression were the primary symptoms at lower levels. Keywords
