Abstract
The value of mass examination of school children for the detection of hearing loss is no longer a matter of dispute. Actually, it can be said that the earlier such testing with subsequent follow-up and contingent treatment can be accomplished, the better. So far, however, a systematic screening is hardly feasible before school age. Keywords
