Some Clinical and Experimental Applications of Xeroradiography

Abstract
The contrast pattern obtainable in Xerox recording can be chosen to be very different from that of a film emulsion. One can strongly emphasise edges and suppress contrast between large uniform areas. The application of this method to soft tissue radiographs reveals detail in the vasculature and can give valuable information complementary to that in a film. The edge contrast is particularly effective in stereoscopic views of whole animals or of tumour specimens and some stereomammograms have been taken.
