Abstract
Recent results on the existence and continuity of solutions, and on the shape and smoothness of the free boundary are described for the following problems: (a) the flow of liquid in a dam with time-dependent data; (b) the motion of two liquids in a one-dimensional porous medium; (c) the flow of gas in an n-dimensional porous medium, and (d) the one-phase n-dimensional Stefan problem, which models the melting of ice. Keywords
