Abstract
This paper reports on a study of the sex education practices of mothers of seventh-grade girls. Mothers were interviewed to determine the level of education they had given to their daughters in three areas of sex education. As many as 20% of the 124 mothers in the sample had never told their daughters about menstruation, 50% had not discussed the father's role, and 68% had not talked to them about any aspect of birth control. Keywords
